Mastimic L

Cream for mastitis – lactation period

 

Formula:

Each 10 g contains:

Cloxacillin Sodium……… 500 mg

Excipients q.s.ad……………. 10 g

 

Indications:

Mastimic L is indicated as curative therapy for acute and chronic mastitis during lactation. It is especially indicated for mastitis caused by penicillin-resistant germs.

 

Targets species:

Bovine.

 

Withdrawal period:

Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption before 7 days of product application, or consume milk or send it to industry until after 72 hours.

 

Route of administration:

Intramammary route.

 

Dosage:

Milking thoroughly and through the teat duct, administer the content of an injector in the cistern of each affected quarter, massaging upwards to encourage the product distribution.

It can be repeated at 12 or 24 hours, or according to veterinarian’s discretion.
Animals should be treated when detection of first mastitis symptoms, during the lactation period, including sub-clinical mastitis (asymptomatic).

It is recommended to wash the udder and disinfect the teat before product application. After applying the product massage the udder to facilitate the correct distribution.
Treat until the beginning of the dry period.
