VAC-SULES ADENITIS EQUINA

Composition:

Combined inactivated vaccine consisting of an inactivated bacterial suspension of Streptococcus equi (≥ 1 x 108 UFC/ dose), with Montanide IMS 3012 adjuvant.

Indications:

Vaccine for immunization against Streptococcus equi to reduce clinical signs and occurrence of abscesses in lymph nodes.

Withdrawal period:

21 days. Do not slaughter animals for human consumption until 21 days after vaccination.

Dosage and instructions for use:

Equine: 1 mL intramusculary route.

Foals without previous vaccination born from unvaccinated mares: It can be inoculated from 4 months of age. Inject 1 dose, then revaccinate at 3-4 weeks and give a 3rd dose 3 to 4 weeks after the last vaccination. Revaccinate semiannually in case of high incidence of the disease, indications of the veterinarian or by health plan of the country. Then vaccinate annually.

Foals born from vaccinated mares: Can be inoculated from 4 – 6 months of age. Inject 1 dose, then revaccinate at 3-4 weeks and give a 3rd dose 3 to 4 weeks after the last vaccination. Pregnant mares with previous vaccination plan: inoculate 1 dose 4 – 6 weeks prior to the probable date of delivery.

Pregnant mares without previous vaccination plan or unknown history: start 2 – 2.5 months prior to the probable date of delivery, vaccinate with one dose, then a second dose at 2 weeks and a third dose 4 – 6 weeks prior to estimated due date.

Storage:

Store between 2º C and 8º C. Do not freeze. Protect the product from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
