Clostridial vaccine

Composition:

Purified and concentrated toxoids:

Clostridium perfringens type A                                ≥ 20 DLM /mL

Clostridium perfringens type C ≥ 200 L /mL

Clostridium perfringens type D ≥ 200 L /mL

Clostridium septicum ≥ 100 DLM/mL

Clostridium novyi type A ≥ 500 DLM /mL

Clostridium novyi type B ≥ 500 DLM /mL

Clostridium tetani                                                       ≥ 300,000 DLM/mL

Clostridium sordellii ≥ 500 DLM/mL

Integral anacultures of:

Clostridium chauvoei ≥ 8 µL packed cells

Clostridium haemolyticum ≥ 0.4 UH/mL

Bacterial bodies of:

Pasteurella multocida multocida                           ≥ 1.0 x 108 UFC / mL

Mannheimia haemolytica                                       ≥ 1.0 x 108  UFC / mL

Excipients:

Aluminium Hydroxide 10 % v/v

Saline solution (NaCl  0.85 % w/v) q.s. dose

Thimerosal 0.5 mg / dose

Indications for use:

Immunobiological for the prevention of Hemorrhagic Gastritis, Gas gangrene, Lamb dysentery, Enterotoxemia of sheeps, Swollen head (Big head), Infectious necrotizing hepatitis, Bacillary hemoglobinuria, Sudden death, Tetanus, Symptomatic Carbuncle, pneumonia and septicemia.

Target species:

Bovine, Ovine and Caprine.

Withdrawal period:

Do not slaughter animals for human consumption before 25 days post-vaccination.

Route of administration:

Subcutaneous route.

Dosage:

Bovine: 4 mL

Ovine and Caprine: 2 mL

Animals that have not been previously immunized should be given 2 injections with an interval of 28-30 days (first vaccination and re vaccination). Subsequently, an annual revaccination will be carried out.

It is recommended to vaccinate animals from 2 months of age.

It is advisable to vaccinate the pregnant females in the last third of the gestation period in order to achieve a passive immunity in the breeding in the first weeks of age in which they are exposed to the diseases referred to.
