Celomic Tabletas

FORMULA:
Each tablet contains:
Medroxyprogesterone Acetate .........5 mg.
Excipients q.s.ad ........................... 1 tablet.

INDICATIONS / DOSE:
Rut postponement or interruption in canines and felines.
Metrorrhagia y Nymphomania.
Brief postponement of rut in females dogs and cats, postponement for a long period of rut in female cats,
interruption of rut in female dogs and cats, cats metrorrhagia and cats nymphomania.
a) Brief postponement of rut in females dogs and cats
- Cases in which an imminent rut could cause problems and where a postponement for a long time (with
Celomic injectable) would not be desirable, it is advisable to administrate Celomic Tablets, to get a brief
postponement of rut.
This is the case of vacations, for example, expositions of cats or dogs, hunting, etc. The treatment begins
for at least 5 days before the desired effect (date when the rut is expected), being the diary dose 1
tablet for dogs and ½ tablet for cats. The treatment continues for the time needed and when it is
suspended the rut appears 4 or 5 days after.
b) Postponement for a long period of rut in female cats
- According to the obtained experience in practice, cats could generally be without rut permanently, just
administrating 1 tablet of Celomic per week.
c) Interruption of rut in female dogs and cats
- The rut that has begun could be interrupted by administration of Celomic Tablets. In dogs 2 tablets
diary during 3 or 4 days (for big dogs 3 to 4 tablet if necessary), then 1 (or 2) diary tablets during 12 to
14 days.
Interruption of rut is generally got in 3 or 4 days of initiated treatment and rut is not reappearing until
the next normal period.
Nevertheless it is convenient to be sure that treatment is not initiated at the beginning of pro-rut
because the effect described in brief postponement of rut could be presented, it is to say that rut will be
present at 4 or 5 days after suspending the drug administration.
In cats, they should be treated with 1 diary tablet until the symptoms disappear.
d) Metrorrhagia in female dogs and cats
- The metrorrhagia post-partum or the one due to prolonged ruts can be treated with Celomic injectable
or tablets. In the last case, the treatment begins with a diary dose of 2 tablets in dogs and 1 tablet in
cats. If improvement is not evident al day 4, the dose should be double.
e) Nymphomania in female cats
- In cases of nymphomania in cats the dose should be of 1 diary tablet until getting normality.

PRECAUTIONS:
Prophylactic treatment with Celomic only should be used in animals completely healthy. It is not advisable
to treat animals sexually immature because the hormones effects in this stage could
perturb its normal development
