INDICATIONS FOR USE:
Furosemide is used for its fast action and potency in all species in the treatment of edemas such as post-traumatic edema, post-surgery edema, lung edema, or edemas related to hepatopathy, congestive heart failure, kidney failure, etc. In small animals: It is indicated for the treatment of congestive cardiomyopathies, edemas, uremia, as a part of therapy in cases of hyperkalemia and, occasionally, as a hypotensive agent. In cattle it is indicated for the treatment of udder edema. It helps prevent or reduce epistaxis (exercise-induced lung hemorrhage) in racing horses.
