VAC-SULES TUBRCULINA PPD BOVINA

    Reagent for diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis

Composition:

Tuberculin purified protein derivative (PPD) 3250 UI / 0.1 mL

Indications for use:

Reagent for diagnosis by intradermal inoculation of tuberculosis in bovine and swine.

Target species:

Bovine and swine.

Route of administration and dosage:

Intradermal route, varying the areas according to the species and the method used.

Bovine and swine: 0.1 mL

Bovine:

Anocaudal test: The tuberculin dose PPD is inoculated in the middle third internal anacaudal wrinkle, about six centimeters from the tail base and in the center of the wrinkle. 

Simple cervical test: The inoculation site is the middle third of the neck, taking care of cute the hair with scissors or machine in the site, in an area of 5 centimeters of diameter.

Comparative cervical test: The application site is the middle third of the neck, inoculating the avian PPD to 10 cm of the nuchal ligament and the bovine PPD to 12 cm below the previous one. In both case the hair should be cut as same as in the simple cervical test.

Swine:

The inoculation site is the ear base, taking into account that bovine PPD tuberculin is injected on the right side and the avian PPD on the left side.
