Target species:

Canine and feline.

Route of administration:

It is recommended 1 tablet every 20 kg of weight (20-30 mg/kg of weight as average dosage) every 8-12 hours during 5 days. Accompany the administration of the product with some food. The interval period between dose and the duration of the treatment may be modified according to the veterinarian’s discretion.

In case of skin treatment its use for a longer period may be required (superficial pyoderma from 1 to 2 weeks, deep pyoderma 3 weeks or more) and also in the case of osteomyelitis.

Its administration is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cephalosporins. Administer with caution to patients with hypersensitivity to other beta-lactams. Its use is not recommended (because it is oral) in patients with septicemia, shock or other serious diseases because the absorption from the gastrointestinal tract is reduced.

Side effects, if present, are limited to the gastrointestinal tract and include: loss of appetite, vomiting and diarrhea.

In cases of renal insufficiency is recommended to reduce the dose or prolong the intervals between doses according to the criteria of the acting professional as well as monitoring the renal function.
