FLUNIMIC ORAL GEL

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic

with antiendotoxic effect

 

Formula:
Meglumin flunixin 8.30 g

Excipients q.s.ad. 100 g

 

Indications:
Flunimic gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID), analgesic and antipyretic with antiendotoxic effect.

 

Target species:

Bovine, ovine, caprine, equine, swine and canine.

 

Withdrawal period:

Do not administer in equines destined to human consumption.

Bovine, ovine, caprine: meat: 7 days. Milk: 5 days.

Swine: meat: 20 days.

It is not recommended to use this product in animals younger than 6 weeks old, since it may cause adverse reactions.

Not to be used in cases of severe kidney, hepatic or heart damage or in animals with gastro-intestinal parasite injuries.

Not to be applied in training equine 4 days prior to the race.

Not to be administered in canines younger than 3 months old.

Long-term use in weakened canines must be avoided.

It is not recommended the use along with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products.

Its use is not recommended for more than 5 consecutive days.

 

Route of administration:

Oral route.

 

Dosage:
1.1 – 2.2 mg per kg bodyweight for 3 – 5 days (12 gr syringe to treat 600 kg weight, equivalent to 600 mg of Flunixin Meglumine).

Equine: 1.1 mg/kg daily, administered every 8 – 12 hours for 5 days. Should colic symptoms recur, consult the veterinarian as it could need surgical treatment.

Bovine: 1.1 – 2.2 mg/kg (or divided into 2 or 3 smaller doses) daily for 3 days.

Swine: 1 – 2 mg/kg.

Ovine and Caprine: 1.1 – 2 mg/kg daily.

Canine: 1 – 2 mg/kg daily for 3 days.

This product is only indicated for animals whose body weight is over 50 kg.
