Bovine, ovine and caprine

 

Formula:

Each 100 mL contains:

Chlorfenvinphos……………….    30 g

Alpha-cypermethrin………….      3 g

Excipients q.s.ad………………. 100 mL

 

Indications:

For immersion or spraying baths (mechanical or manual) of bovine, ovine and caprine.

It controls Psoregates ovis, garraoaras, ovine scab, lice and protects against Lucilia spp. attacks in sheep and goats. It controls ticks, lice and protects against annoying flies (sucking or scavenger flies) and myiasis in bovine.

 

Withdrawal period:

Meat: 7 days

Milk: 6 hours

 

Route of administration:

It is used in animals as immersion or spraying bath (mechanical or manual).

 

Dosage and indications:

Pre-mix: add a quantity measured of the product to twice of that volume of water (1 part of the concentrate into two parts of water) which will result in a white emulsion. Place it in the dispenser with the remaining volume of water and stir until complete the dispersion.

In ovine and caprine it is recommended the immersion bath instead of the spraying bath.

Foot bath: 1 liter of product every 1000 liters of water,

Replacement: 1 liter of product every 600 liters of water when 1/3 of the bath has been removed from the tank.

To prevent lameness post bath it should be add Zinc sulphate to the bath in the proportion of 1 kg every 1000 liters of water.

To control the dermatophiliosis in sheep, add 1 kg of Zinc sulphate every 400 liters of bath.

Topical application of the product in case of Lucilia spp.: dilute 1 liter of the product into 500 liters of water or 20 mL into 10 liters of water. Stir well. Apply to the affected areas and in the animals back after rains or when it is possible to anticipate the presence of flies. The wool against the skin must be well wet.

Bovine:

Immersion baths: 1 liter of water into 1000 liters of water, recharging, 1 liter of water into 600 liters of water.

Spraying mechanical baths: same charge and recharge than the immersion bath.

Spraying manual baths: 1 liter every 1000 liters of water or 10 mL every 10 liters of water.

Intervals between baths:

Ticks and screwworm (myiasis): when it is used for the first time in heavily infested cattle, a weekly bath is recommended until it is free of ticks. After that, bath the cattle every 2 weeks except in cases of severe infestation with brown ear tick in which case the bath should be weekly. It is recommended that the baths every 2 weeks are performed throughout the year, including winter. Lice: one application is sufficient. Flies, gnats, horseflies, etc .: the regular baths generally recommended for tick are sufficient to protect the animals. However, especially for the control of flies, immersion or spraying baths weekly for 3 weeks can be applied. This procedure may be repeated if necessary.
